My city cleans streets regularly. The May 26 t-storm piled maple seeds at the sewer entrances. I picked up and dumped 2 yards in a pile that is already hot. My question is how much toxic stuff would there be. How much need I worry.
Storm Debris Hazards
Sounds like the material you picked up is a brilliant addition to your compost.
The only toxins that might be lurking in that material should be what washed off the road. Even if bits of gas exhaust etc. were present they would break down in the composting process.
